Our Pool

The neighborhoods here don't have pools like in SC.  We have to settle for a little baby pool in the backyard. I have been accused of being "redneck" for letting him play in it. I say if it makes him happy, oh well!

Orange Beach

Collin and I tagged along on Philip's work trip last week. We had a great time in the beach and in the pool. It wore him out, and he slept great.

The first day I realized that he didn't have a pool float. A stranger came to the rescue telling me that her son was too big for the float she bought. She promptly brought it down to the pool for Collin.  We ended up playing with them several times during the week and adopting some of their other toys. :)

Collin loved playing in the gully and in the pool. He wasn't too sure about the ocean because it was cold. I wasn't too sure about the way it just dropped off. Collin had a great first beach trip.

There was lots of this.
See?  He fell asleep while I was brushing my teeth.
Ready to go swim. We have a few more pictures on the other phone and real camera. I will try to remember to post them too.

Keeping Up!

I feel like things happen so fast these days it is hard to keep up! My new goal is to post at least once a week! I am a good bit behind, but I think I can catch up. I will cram everything into one post with lots of pictures. (Even if it is all from my phone.)

Baton Rouge Zoo

We got a family membership to the Baton Rouge Zoo. We took Collin on Wednesday, Philip's first day off in a few weeks!
Collin didn't pay much attention to most of the animals because they were so far away. He liked being outside and looking at the other people there.

Outside

Since we moved, I have taken Collin outside to play a lot! The weather here has been so nice (when it hasn't been rainy). If it is this warm in March, I am already dreading the summer heat.

5 months

Here are Collin's 5 month pictures from February 21, 2013.  Hwe has already grown so much since the move!  I can't  believe that he will be 6 months old so soon.  :(

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy first Valentine's Day, sweet Collin! Mommy and Daddy love you!

Food

This little boy has never turned down food. Ever! Because he lost weight, we were able to put off foods for a little longer which was fine with me. One day at the store, I decided to pick up some applesauce. On February 15, he had his first taste. He loved it. After finishing both containers of applesauce over a few days, I bought some more foods to try. Two days ago, he ate sweet potatoes. When they were gone he was sooo mad! Don't worry, I gave him a bottle after.

On another note, I was hoping to be able to make his food at home. Since moving, I have not seen a lot of the produce I was hoping to see. :( Until I find some that looks decent and doesn't cost a fortune, we will just buy it. :(

Weight check

Collin went in for his weight check an weighed 13 lbs 4 ozs! We have swapped him over to all formula and he is doing great. The next time we visit our new doctor he will be able to start eating some food! :)

Moving....again

We are moving on Friday to Louisiana. It is a very bittersweet time for me. We will be moving further away from our families but will get to open a new UA store. Philip got a promotion so that also makes things a little sweeter. We will be renting a house which I am excited about. We still have lots to do. Gotta get packing!

4 month visit

When Collin went in for his four month appointment, we found out he lost almost half a pound. :( He weighed 12 lbs 10 ozs and was about 25 inches long. We have to supplement with formula and go back in a week to check his weight.

Rollin'

Collin finally rolled over this morning. I knew he could do it because he could roll half way but wouldn't do it all the way. I am hoping to catch it on video soon! Whenever he sees the phone/camera he freezes and stares at it so no luck so far!

4 months

Time is still flying by! I can't believe Collin is four months old. He loves to grab onto things. He babbles and coos all day long! He loves to play with the pugs and watch them. He gets so excited when his daddy comes home from work. Here are some pictures with his sitcker!

Collin's First Christmas and Trip

Collin's first Christmas was spent in Simpsonville/Easley/Fountain Inn.  Philip had to work at another Under Armour so we were able to come a little early and stay a little late.  :)

We spent a few days before Christmas with my mom.  Lots of people came to see Collin including my cousin Wes.  Wes is in the Navy and had just gotten home from San Diego.  A few days after Christmas, he was going to Bahrain.

We spent Christmas Eve (night) and Christmas morning with Philip's family.  Collin got his first stocking!  He tried to take the bows off the presents.  We had to open quickly because more guests arrived.

For lunch, we went to Nana's.  Everyone was there and we had a great time.  Collin got lots of good presents including a Poppity-Pop Musical Dino, a Baby Einstein My First Story reader, diapers, and clothes.

Collin's Christmas Loot (most of it)

Anna gave him a Sophie the giraffe, some clothes, and some cute new pacis.  My mom gave him a Move and Crawl ball (and some money for him later).  Philip's parents gave him a Vtech Alphabet Activity Cube.  We gave him a new stroller toy, some books, some pacis, and a few other small things.  I can't wait to see him play with all these neat toys!

Collin and Sophie

After we ate lunch and hung out a while, we went to visit Kyle, Courtney, and Kimberly.  We met up with them earlier in the week, but forgot to take a picture of the babies together.  Kimberly is precious and soo tiny!

After Christmas, we went back to my mom's for a few more days.  We had Collin's picture made at Portrain Innovations right before coming home.  We had so much stuff that the Cardens had to drive us all the way home!

3 Months

Here are the pictures we took when Collin turned 3 months old.  His eyes are for sure brown now.  We just aren't sure whether they will be a lighter brown like mine or a darker brown like Philip's.  He can hit and kick anything close to him.  He loves the pugs and watching them around him.  He watches Tucker the most.  His favorite toys are still the Skip Hop Owl and the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes (which we call his iPod).  I can't believe how fast he is growing.  He has learned so much in only a few short months.  I can't wait to see what the next 3 months are like!
